Founded by Kazumi Shibakura Vites, Wool Project is the culmination of her passion and experience. Working many years as a highly skilled pattern maker and technical designer, she draws inpiration from the simplicity and beauty of Japanese Kimono. Designing clothes from the early age of ten, Kazumi infuses her debut line with the traditions passed down from her father while employing her own modern sense of style, elegance and comfort.

Key to the brand are its lushly soft yarn blends of natural, organic and recycled materials sourced from Italian mills dedicated to socially responsible sustainability.

The collection showcases fine gauge knits with exquisite draping as well as an original openwork stitch with relaxed tension for lightweight breathable cardigans, ponchos and turtlenecks. Sweaters are constructed to move and settle with your body regardless of your size or shape. Some items such as leggings and bodysuits use Lycra for support and retention. We commit to a small batch production locally manufactured in Los Angeles.
